We are a few weeks into spring and as the sun is coming out, so are our summer clothes. It is finally that time of year where we can get away with just wearing a light jacket and hopefully begin to lock away our giant coats and sweaters for the season. I love walking to class in the spring because you can finally see everyone’s beautiful outfits that are no longer covered up by boring winter coats.
I spotted this Fashionista on her way to class looking radiant in her new spring attire. In the Midwest, we are so used to cold harsh winters that when the sun is finally out and the snow has all melted, anything goes. To us, 50 degrees feels like 70 and 70 degrees feels like 90. I see people walking to class in shorts and tank tops, like anything after 50 degrees is fair game.
This Fashionista took a more modest approach while still looking vibrant and ready for spring. She is sporting a dark denim jacket with a monochromatic red scarf to top it off. On bottom she is wearing a blue maxi skirt. This skirt is perfect for class because it flows and is comfortable while still being cute and appropriate. For shoes this Fashionista is in cheetah print flats which add a touch of fun to the outfit. Lastly, to top it all off she has her wonderful yellow Vera Bradley backpack.
One Simple Change: To dress up the outfit a bit for a date night, add a cute heel and a fun lipstick to brighten the look.
