alice + olivia have snuck into my mind and created a line exactly for my taste. Their spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection was everything to me. I have always loved the work that they do, but this season they have absolutely outdone themselves. The collection was flirty and light with just the right amount of edge. The color palette that they chose had me drooling. They had the basics with black, white and nude mixed in with creamsicle orange, lavender and sapphire blue. The collection had something for everybody whether it be a floral floor length skirt or an all-white pant suit. The tailoring and cut of the pieces were super intricate and delicate, giving the clothes that edge that alice + olivia are known for.
This collection made me reach for my cupcake floral skirt that has been hiding in my closet since last spring. The pleats of the skirt closely resembled some of the skirts in the collection. My favorite detail about this skirt is the belt with the bow at the waist of the skirt that makes the look even more tailored. I also added a white tank top to give the bright colors some contrast which seemed to be a trick that alice + olivia used this season.
I added minor gold touches to the outfit in my jewelry choices with a round faced Michael Kors watch and Tory Burch stud earrings. With these additions, I make sure that I translate some of my everyday pieces into my runway-inspired look. I also threw a pop of color into the outfit with my sapphire blue strappy pumps. alice + olivia had all of their models in ankle strap pumps, which are all the rage right now in the shoe game.
Get My Look: 1. A floral high-waisted midi skirt. 2. Ankle strap pumps. 3. White tank top.
