While I was out doing a little bit of spring shopping recently, I took notice of a few returning trends for this time of year. Of course I saw floral, pastels and sheer pieces, but I also noticed that there were a ton of lace, fringe and crochet clothing items. Normally I see these trends arriving in stores closer to the summer months, so the fact that I saw so many of these trends in all types of clothing helped me determine that these styles would be a staple for spring style. The Alberta Ferretti line has a few great crochet/sheer tops and dresses featured in the fall ready-to-wear fashion show.
The tank top that I am wearing is one of my favorites! A combination of crochet and sheer mesh with so much detail is what makes this tank top so fun. Because the tank is sheer, I have to wear a cami under it but, once the weather becomes warmer I can replace my cami with a bandeau top. I paired my top with my favorite high-waisted, acid-wash jeans and my “well loved” black Converse All-Stars. As for my accessories, I grabbed my striped Betsey Johnson purse and my novelty pearl sunglasses.
Personally, I am a total fan of this trend stepping into the springtime spotlight. Plus, dresses and tops similar to the one that I am wearing are great spring-to-summer transitional pieces. It won’t be long until I can wear this outfit with shorts instead of jeans.
