Spring is finally here! Well at least it is in Kansas and I could not be happier! I can finally put away the coats and gloves and pull out my shorts and sandals. Don’t get me wrong, I love my winter clothes, but it’s nice to change out my wardrobe and rediscover some of my spring and summer clothes. Boys love spring time just as much as girls because it means they can finally get back outside and be active, plus they can switch to something other than pants. Girls have it lucky, even in the winter we can still wear skirts and dresses and just pair them with tights. Boys on the other hand are typically stuck with just pants.
This Fashionisto is perfectly dressed for the weather we are experiencing here. He is wearing a pastel checkered button-down shirt and has paired it with a pair of green shorts that pick up one of the stripes in his shirt. He also has on a pair of brown leather loafers, the perfect mix of tennis shoes and sandals, and a pair of Oakley sunglasses.
This outfit is perfect for spring because the button-down will keep him warm enough in the brisk mornings and evenings, but not too hot during the peak temperature during the day. The colors of this shirt are also perfect for spring because they are pastels which typically makes us think of spring time. The shorts are of course perfect because they are shorts. However, they are also perfect because the color is such a vibrant green, that it really catches our eye after mostly seeing blacks, grays and neutrals for the last few months. As I stated before, the shoes are perfect because they aren’t bulky tennis shoes or boots, but they aren’t sandals either. So, he will get the lightweight feel of a sandal, while still having a closed toe. He tops it off with a pair of sunglasses that are quite necessary on these sunny days we are experiencing.
One Simple Change: To make this outfit perfect for summer, this Fashionisto could swap out his button-down shirt for a lightweight polo.
