A spring trend that I have been thinking about trying is patterned pants. I rarely wear pants that aren’t jeans purely because I’m a scaredy cat. However, after seeing today’s Fashionista I am definitely going to take a step out of my comfort zone and try this trend. Today’s Fashionista looked absolutely perfect in her outfit, with the standout feature being her pants.
The reason I loved this look so much was because she paired her tan, red and navy patterned pants with a bohemian style top and kept the rest of her outfit simple and clean. Her white, airy top (here is a similar one) had an interesting back design and two little tassels which added some casual details that contrasted with her pants, which are more structured and dressy. She paired her outfit with nude Tory Burch sandals, a rose gold KORS Michael Kors watch and a Bourbon and Boweties elephant bangle.
By keeping the rest of her outfit simple, she let her pants stand out without completely taking over the look. The simple, bohemian vibe the pattern gives off combined with the lightness of her blouse makes this look perfect for springtime. The pants make the look so versatile because even though they are a sophisticated silhouette, the pattern makes them more relaxed. I could see myself wearing something like this to school, on the weekends or even out for dinner.
An outfit like this that utilizes just two major pieces (pants and a top) to make the whole look chic and feel complete is my kind of outfit, comfortable and no fuss.
How To: To make this look even more appropriate for spring, switch out the patterned pants for a patterned midi skirt like this one.
