Though I believe that traveling is one of the most amazing things you can do in life, it can be a Fashionista’s worst nightmare. Attempting to pack a week’s worth of clothing into a tiny carry-on to avoid baggage charges can seem like one of life’s biggest challenges. I’ll admit that I recently wore three layers of jackets to the airport in 60-degree weather because I didn’t have enough room in my bag for all of my outerwear.
Another struggle arises when trying to figure out how to dress comfortably enough for walking and touring, without sticking out like a sore thumb around the locals. This Fashionista, however, has nailed traveling in style. Of course, comfortable footwear is a must. This Fashionista opted for some trendy white Converse high-tops; perfect for spending the day exploring a new city.
Her black leggings and classic striped T-shirt are incredible choices for a day on the go, especially if you’re flying in the morning and touring in the afternoon. Incorporating athletic wear into your outfit like this Fashionista’s yoga leggings or sneakers is great for when you know you will be walking a lot. Plus, it gives your look some athleisure flair.
This army jacket and small cross-body bag are travel essentials. A jacket of this weight is amazing because it keeps you warm on a cool morning and can be tied around your waist during the heat of the afternoon. The many pockets are also perfect places to keep necessary items like your passport and extra cash. I would say that a jacket like this, especially if it’s water repellant, is a quintessential item for travel. Her little purse is also a great choice because it’s easy to keep track of on a crowded bus and won’t weigh her down during a day of walking. By taking a page out of this Fashionista’s travel guide and incorporating these essentials into your wardrobe, maybe we can worry a little less about our luggage being under the airline’s weight limit.
