While looking through some of the recent runway shows, I noticed a trend I never really tried. I always found it hard to dress in a monochromatic outfit. One designer caught my eye with this trend, and I was instantly in love. Stella McCartney’s fall 2015 runway show was a great mix of monochromatic outfits and a mix of neutral colors. After seeing her runway collection, I was determined to pull off a solid outfit.
If there is one way to keep my personal style with a monochromatic outfit, I knew I was going to start with the color black. However, I still wanted to look season appropriate since the weather is warm. I chose this perfect sheer maxi shirt, which allowed me to feel the breeze and keep cool in the weather. I wore a relaxed black V-neck to keep with my more laid back style. I ended the outfit with a pair of black wedges and black ALDO Kyra sunglasses.
To make sure I kept it my own style, I had to add a pop of red! I wore my red ALDO handbag and paired it with a bright red lip! I always wear chunky accessories, so I added some great gold earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. I’m never one to wear all dark colors, but using bright details always works. Accessories and makeup are always a great way to do that, which is definitely why they are my favorite part of an outfit.
