Have you guys seen the Saint Laurent fall 2015 runway show? I cannot get over its edgy-glam style. From rocking leather jackets and torn fishnets to glamorous dress pants and sparkly garments, the show is definitely a personal favourite of mine from the fall 2015 season.
The perfect balance of rocker and glam creates interesting and fun outfits, and this combo was what inspired my outfit. I wanted to take the idea of mixing both glam and dressy clothes with a bit of a rocker edge. I paired my sparkly and glamorous black beaded blouse with a lightweight, edgy, perforated pleather jacket. I also added my black, cropped dress pants with blue stripe detailing on the sides, bringing more glam to the look and also following their trend of cropped dress pants that was seen on the runway many times during their show.
To add an extra unexpected bit of edge, I added a pair of chunky, floral print platforms. They add a pop of colour to the otherwise very dark look and give the burst of pattern and interest that is found in a lot of looks from the Saint Laurent show. I love these heels because although they look extremely high, the chunky heel allows for very easy walking. They really surprised me with how practical they actually were compared with their appearance. Other than the fact that you may not want to wear them for long periods of time because of the pressure on the balls of your feet, they are quite wearable and cute!
