Hallelujah! It finally feels like spring. This year has easily been one of the snowiest and coldest winters to date. I am so grateful that it’s over. I can now wake up and go outside without a winter coat. I can view endless pastures of luscious green grass. I can look to my left and look to my right and see flowers basking in the sunlight. I have been waiting for these views for a very long time, and I’m sure other students who attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst feel the same way.
On this lovely spring day, I met this wonderful Fashionista as she was walking to the library. Her platform boots had me captivated. I am very used to people running about in knee-high boots, sneakers and booties, but platform boots are something I do not usually see. This obscure fashion sighting made me cross my fingers and hope that she would agree to be featured on CollegeFashionista. Thankfully, she said yes!
This Fashionista is wearing a pair of edgy platform boots from Demonia; a brand that is dedicated to creating cutting edge footwear for nonconforming men and women. This boot is made out of faux leather and has a platform height of three and a quarter inches. This certainly attracts the attention of short people like me. At roughly five foot three inches, I am shorter than most people my age and could certainly use the extra boost. I also like the black straps across the shaft and the front lacing. It’s so hardcore. Without a doubt, this Fashionista commands the pavement in these boots.
