Whoever said basing your entire outfit off of one color is boring clearly never saw this Fashionista! Her jeans may be blue, but that does not stop this Fashionista on choosing a stylish top within that same color scheme. Her blue cotton button-down had me green with envy, wondering why I wasn’t sporting one at the moment myself.
Button-downs are some of the most versatile shirts under the broad fashion umbrella. The array of possibilities is endless! Plaid and denim button-downs are just two examples, but there are plenty of other types, and even more ways to dress them up or down. With the right accessories, a button-down can be virtually any style you want it to be. Whenever I used to think of the term “button-down,” my brain was immediately flooded with images of businessmen and women, but not anymore! Now, I’ll be thinking of this stylish student who was able to make a button-down look casual and chic.
What I really loved about this Fashionista’s outfit were her standout pieces. A red cross-body bag matched her lips that were almost the exact shade. The bold color of both her choices really drew me in, yet at the same time, they were not at all overwhelming. Another accessory of this Fashionista’s that I enjoyed was her jeweled statement necklace. The silver color matched perfectly with her earrings and bangles. Placed perfectly under her collar, this necklace was the perfect add-on to her ensemble.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always bring some sort of cardigan or jacket with you while you’re on campus. The spring weather is unpredictable and it’s always better to be safe (and stylish) than sorry (and cold)!”
