Whenever I think of tulle, an image of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw walking down a New York City street in a full tulle skirt and a T-shirt with heels comes to mind. I think it’s the ultimate fairytale moment, and I have been on the hunt for my own perfect tulle skirt for what seems like forever (a.k.a. all winter long).
It’s finally starting to feel like spring! I spotted this Fashionista out on the quad enjoying the gorgeous weather with her friends. Of course, what caught my attention was the tulle detail of her dress and I had to interrupt her conversation to snap a few photographs. This Fashionista’s dress reminded me of a toned down version of Cinderella’s dress. Perfect for running errands or going on a date into town!
As you can tell, it was a bit windy out and I think her choice of adding tights and booties prevent the outfit from becoming too summery. Her suede booties were a nice neutral color that really works well with the shade of her dress. Her simple and delicate silver jewelry added the perfect finishing touch to complete her look. With her hair pulled up, her dangly earrings were able to shine with their intricate details.
How To: Want to wear tulle but don’t want to look like you’re running away from a ball? Less layers of tulle is the way to go. Throw on a pair of neutral booties for a comfortable and stylish walk to class!
