Who run the world? Girls! But these man bags are sure as heck taking over! I literally see them everywhere… it is becoming quite a craze, and I love it. Yeah, there are some pretty cool backpacks out there, I must say, but a nice, tan canvas bag portrays, “I don’t think style has to remain between the leaflets of the current issue of Vogue.”
I spotted this Fashionisto sitting down, reading the newspaper and my first thought was, “OMG, he still reads black and white print? He’s pretty fly,” and then my eyes followed on to the bag in the chair next to him, which caused me to check out his whole outfit. I had to do a piece on him.
Man bags are pretty dope. I think they can be the perfect touch to an outfit, whether you are aiming for a preppy Ralph Lauren look, like this Fashionisto achieved, or if you are going for a more polished, dapper Armani model flair. I have seen them in all sorts of material: leather, canvas (as this Fashionisto is wearing), tweed, denim, you name it. There are plenty of choices out there to fit your needs. And who said girls can’t wear them, too? We run the world, right… just kidding (kind of)!
Moving on to everything else this Fashionisto is wearing, he has on a light blue chambray button-up, which is perfect for the light weather. This is a classic piece and I believe every male should have at least two of these styles of tops in their closet. He paired it with some tan-colored shorts and for shoes, he had on a pair of Sperry Top-Siders. On his wrist he wore a simple bracelet and a watch. He completes this look with Ray-Ban sunglasses.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My bag is a lot easier to carry than my backpack. It is less stress on my back and at the same time, I get to look stylish. I think people should opt for them more often. It’s absolutely the best thing ever!”
