I am constantly showing up late to my early morning classes. Not only does it take a long time for me to actually leave my bed, but I take an even longer time choosing my outfit for the day. What I really need a simple yet stylish outfit that I am comfortable wearing as I drag myself across campus to my morning classes, and thanks to the Alexander Wang pre-fall 2015 show, I found that look.
The show had a very punky-grunge vibe, and it was filled with studded accents, leather pieces and dark, luxurious fabrics. I’m a huge fan of Alexander Wang, and after taking one look at the pre-fall 2015 collection, I was immediately infatuated with every look in the show. I was especially impressed with two particular looks. One look drew me in with the studded accents on the neckline and the hem of the dress, the leather handbag and the model’s boots. I also loved that the studded accents and military-style boots did not take away from the femininity of the silhouette. The other look that captivated my attention was this one; I’m obsessed with distressed denim, so it’s no surprise that I was drawn to this look. I loved everything about both of these looks, but I made some changes to make my own outfit more appropriate for spring.
I’ve had this pair of (very comfortable) distressed boyfriend jeans for a while, but they never left my closet because I didn’t know what to wear with them. The oversized sweater that this model sported inspired me, so I paired my jeans with a loose-fitting gray V-neck T-shirt. I wanted to add some of those studded accents to the look, so I wore this pair of nude studded sandals (which I’ve been absolutely obsessed with lately). To give my menswear-inspired look a feminine touch, I added a pair of chandelier earrings and swiped on a berry lip color.
Get My Look:Â 1. A gray V-neck T-shirt. 2. A pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. 3. A pair of studded sandals.
