During the time in between seasons, it is hard to figure out what to wear in the mornings. One day the sun might be deceivingly bright but the wind might be furiously blowing, and then the next day could feel like a hot summer day. If you are like me and wonder what to wear during these in-between weather changes, take some tips from this Fashionista.
This Fashionista’s outfit caught my eye because it is so versatile and incorporates different shades of black (my favorite color). She embraces the weather changes by wearing summer clothing; however, she throws a cardigan over her shoulders just in case it gets windy. Long kimono-like cardigans have been really in for a while now and are the best things to grab before heading out the door. They can be an accessory to a dope outfit or can be worn to keep yourself a tad bit warmer. There are many different versions of this type of cardigan, from lace to knit and even embroidered.
Under the cardigan, this Fashionista pairs a distressed muscle T-shirt. I love this shirt because you can find it on the shelves of many stores nowadays and you can also make it yourself in your dorm room or apartment! Muscle T-shirts are also really big during the summertime and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
She pairs the muscle T-shirt with this adorable gray skirt. The skirt goes seamlessly with the T-shirt and cardigan even though it’s not all black, and the color actually makes it pop or stand out from the rest of the outfit. I’m also loving the unique angular cut at the bottom of the skirt and the black waistband that pulls the top and bottom parts of the outfit together.
Lastly, this Fashionista threw on some super dope shoes, which are literally my new obsession. They are definitely a statement and conversation piece, but aren’t too distracting to the otherwise simple monochromatic ensemble. I was attracted to them because every piece of the shoe incorporates a different pattern and/or texture, and somehow it all goes together so smoothly. Also, the shoelaces on sandals element is so different and so cool!
