It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s a Fashionista in a really tall turtleneck!
Although we on the East Coast are elated about the hot weather we are now receiving, we are still seeing trends from the winter season transitioning into spring. As new spring trends are popping up, some winter trends are still lingering. This Fashionista was spotted doing just that sporting a short sleeve black and white striped turtleneck dress. She took on the task of bringing this relatively winter trend and made it appropriate for spring and summer.
Typically seen in colder months, turtleneck dresses can be made into a spring/summer look by incorporating other lighter articles of clothing. An example of this would be a light moss green parka like the one this Fashionista is wearing. It provides a barrier to cool winds, prefect for late afternoons and early evenings. The color choice is also fantastic because this muted green adds to the cool tone palette that the Fashionista created with the black and white stripes in her dress. As an added pop of color, she sports a pair of neon orange loafers. All the colors come together, while not over shadowing each other.
With cute accessories such as her bright red backpack, this Fashionista is officially ready for spring.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “It’s finally hot now, so take advantage of the nice weather and wear some bright colors because, before you know it, winter will slowly be approaching again.”
