Mini skirts are outdated—it’s the era of mini dresses. They’re classier, yet still fun. Short dresses highlight the length of your legs, and their flow embodies a kind of feminine softness. Personally, I prefer solid colored ones to printed ones, because the silhouette itself should be the main focus. Prints usually take away the attention, curbing appreciation for the elongating cutting. What I love most about a mini dress is that you can just put it on and grab a cardigan when you’re running late for class. You don’t have to worry about matching the top with the bottom, making life so much easier.
This Fashionista showcases the best way to style your mini dress. The plaid shirt brings out the casual vibe of her look, while the ankle boots with the cut out detail demonstrate another great trend. Her plaid shirt reminds me the grunge look Jennifer Aniston used to sport in Friends. Solid colored mini dresses are the best. They go with almost everything, including her infinity necklace and Longchamp bag. Also, her rings are chic and her red nail polish is simply on point. Her crimson red nails go well with her shirt’s warm tone, establishing coherence in addition to the black mini dress, shoes and shades. This Fashionista is wearing shades that fit her face shape perfectly, and I strongly believe all Fashionista/os should find their perfect shades. After all, it’s California, babes.
