WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

It’s that time of the semester—the weather’s warm and while we’re itching to get outside, many of us are watching others enjoy the sunshine through the library windows. With the end of the semester near every test, project, paper and presentation seems to be creeping up on us all at once. While stressing over getting all of our work done, figuring out what to wear shouldn’t be an added anxiety. Have a presentation coming up? This Fashionista is the perfect example of how to wow your professors in the fashion department.

I love that as soon as the weather warms up, everyone seems to put their best foot forward when it comes to getting ready in the morning. Campus has been flooded with flowy skirts, cheery scarves and formal wear for presentations. When walking by the library I found this Fashionista who was prepared ahead of time for her presentation later in the day. Putting together a strong project takes a lot of time and effort so you want to make sure you promote yourself professionally to your peers and professor to get the best grade possible.

Here, this Fashionista is wearing a navy blue dress with a sash tied around the waist. What’s great about this dress is that it’s dressy enough for the occasion, but is also loose enough to keep her comfortable. To stay conservative, she is wearing a black blazer for extra coverage. It’s important to be mindful of dressing respectively for presentations (watching the cut and length of your outfit), which this Fashionista did perfectly. She is also wearing black, knee-high riding boots that match her blazer. For jewelry she’s wearing simple silver rings paired with a necklace. The pretty and delicate jewelry adds sophistication to her overall look.

One Simple Change: To make this outfit suitable for an interview, add a little flare that goes along with your personality. Try a monochromatic look with a blazer, then add some layered necklaces with personal charms like your initials or zodiac sign.
