Looking back at the spring 2015 ready-to-wear shows, Y’s Yves Saint Laurent was definitely my favorite. This show had all kinds of looks inspired by the ‘70s and featured interesting prints from cherries to stars to flowers. My favorite look featured a black and white striped tank top paired with high-waisted leather shorts. This look also featured a nice structured black jacket, a brown scarf and a cute black hat. My favorite part of this outfit was definitely her black and white striped tank top. This look inspired me to recreate this look but put my own spin on it.
I recreated the Y’s Yves Saint Laurent look but added my own touches and gave it a sporty vibe. I started with a black and white striped tank top similar to the one featured in the show. Instead of the high-waisted leather shorts, I went with my favorite black skinny jeans. I accessorized with a white statement necklace. I added a sporty touch to this outfit by pairing it with white Converse, black wayfarer Ray-Bans and orange lipstick, the perfect touches for spring.
This outfit was perfect for a pretty spring day on campus. It’s the perfect outfit for class because it is comfy but still cute and put together. Overall, this outfit is just a great go-to outfit because it would look perfect for just about any event, whether it’s going to the library, the movies or a night out on the town.
