WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Springtime weather on the East Coast is particularly notorious for being fickle. Regardless of how much we want to, we still have yet to be able to put away our winter wardrobe; we’re still all rotating back and forth between showing our legs in shorts and breaking out our coats. And if you’re anything like me, you may feel like you’ve exhausted pretty much all of your outfit combinations from last season. If you can’t wait to show off your budding spring style, don’t hesitate to take advantage of those warmer days.

This Fashionisto’s outfit is the absolute epitome of classic style. He’s even sporting some of the most classic American name brands, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Sperry Top-Sider and Ray-Ban. His button-down shirt, with the sleeves casually rolled up to his elbows features an eye-catching gingham pattern. I personally love the uniformity of gingham and checks as well as the fact that they conveniently never go out of style. Paired with light gray slacks, this combination creates a very versatile ensemble. It’s comfortable enough to wear to class yet would still be able to impress your professors and fellow students with its sophistication.

His canvas boat shoes bring in some preppy vibes and are ideal for warmer weather while his tortoise shell sunglasses and leather watch complete the outfit. If you’re into clean-cut fashion, this Fashionisto is perfect inspiration. He effortlessly creates a balance between looking smart and lived in. Ultimately, this makes him look like a guy with some promise, like the kind of guy people want to look up to.

One Simple Change: This outfit is right on the border between casual and business casual. If you’re heading to your internship after a few hours of enjoying the springtime sun, throw on a simple tie and you’ll be ready for the office.
