The birds are chirping, the sun is shining and it is finally spring! Now is the time to finally pack away your winter clothes and bring the light and breathable pieces back into your life. In order to find the perfect spring outfit, certain garments are a must. Strolling to class on a sunny afternoon, I found this Fashionista showing off awesome spring attire.
Initially, I noticed her multi-colored floral kimono, which stood out from across the esplanade. I know what you all are thinking: in the words of Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” But in reality, florals are always unfaltering in every season. Sometimes floral can be overdone, but this Fashionista proves that observation wrong. Usually, kimonos with some sort of pattern are paired with a solid color top, but this Fashionista decided to wear a top that had decorative detail. She donned a peasant style top that had brown embroidered stitching, making the colors in her kimono stand out even more! You can never go wrong pairing a busy top with a simple pair of dark wash skinny jeans. Of course, spring temperatures can fluctuate, so the jean is a happy medium for comfort, but there is no worry of getting overheated. To pull the look together and keeping with the tones from her top, she wore a brown pointed-toe flat with gold embellishments, which makes a statement on its own. The finishing touches of her sunglasses are the perfect accommodation to block the bright sun while she makes her way to class.
Spring is all about peeling back the layers and taking chances on trying new trends! It’s a season of newness and growth, so why not throw your style and fashion sense into the mix?
