A popular trend seen this spring is bold pattered clothing. Whether that includes printed pants or shirts, the whimsical and hippie-esque trends are making a comeback. Patterned flare pants danced the runway in Balmain’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. It is easy to transcend this high-fashion look into everyday wear—just opt for a printed high-waisted pant like I did!
Inspired by the likes of Balmain’s fall show, I wanted to recreate the bold and hippie-esque looks seen on the runway. However, as someone who usually shies away from patterns and color, I needed to find a pair of patterned pants that weren’t too bright to match my style. After some searching, I found the perfect pair from American Eagle Outfitters. Their wide leg pants in gray are perfect for me to try a Balmain-inspired outfit. The pants are cotton, so they are not only fashionable but are also very comfortable. The pattern is small, which isn’t too busy. I paired the printed pants with a white crop tank top to keep the focus on the pant. This look is ideal for the spring transitional weather as wearing a tank top or crop top with pants is a great way to stay warm and cool.
To accessorize this look, I chose to wear funky rings to continue the boho feel of the outfit. Lastly, as the sun is finally shining and the temperature is heating up, I donned Wayfarer sunglasses and black and brown sandals.
