Once warmer weather hits, even finals week cannot take the smile off of my face! After months of constricting layers and jeans, you will be hard-pressed to find me in anything but flowing dresses and skirts to match my sunny mood. That’s why Chloé’s spring ready-to-wear 2015 line stood out to me as soon as I saw it; it perfectly matched my idea of the ideal spring and summer outfit.
The collection boasted lightweight material, loose flowing dresses and a distinct bohemian vibe. Models walked with loose and wavy hair and very little makeup, looking as fresh as a spring day. The dresses had lace embellishments but solid colors, which made them feel simple and down-to-earth. All tied together with plain flat gladiator sandals, the collection’s style was bright, carefree and fresh.
In my opinion, the trick to nailing this style was keeping the outfit simple, so I selected a white tiered dress with classic gladiator sandals. I opted to put my hair in a ponytail instead of letting it down like the Chloé models, but I added a springy touch with a DIY floral barrette and French braid. I kept the outfit free of accessories besides the necklace and bracelet I wear daily to keep the natural feel—I didn’t even put on nail polish or lip-gloss. Matched with warm weather and a smile, this outfit is perfect for cheering up even the earliest Monday or most stressful study day.
