At last, warm weather has graced the Penn State campus. Fashionistas everywhere are walking around in dresses, shorts and sandals. One Fashionista in particular stood out to me, though, especially after catching a glimpse of her pastel pink flower crown.
Flower headbands or crowns have been popular the past few springs, but few Fashionistas dare to try out the look on campus. A lot of people reserve flower crowns for music festivals or a day at the beach, but I believe they can be worn just about everywhere. They’re a great addition to any outfit and add some serious (yet fun) style to an ensemble.
This stylish Penn Stater looked like the definition of springtime. She boasted an adorable black floral romper that fit perfectly and paired it with some strappy black sandals. The flower crown completed the look, though. The light pastel pink perfectly complemented both the darkness of the romper and the floral print she was wearing.
Since her hair was up in a simple ballerina bun, the flower crown stole the show. Plus, the flowers on it were pretty large, making quite the statement. It impressed me that despite the size of the headband, this Fashionista didn’t let it overtake her look. Instead, it added the perfect amount of flair and style to a casual springtime outfit.
How To:Â Want to incorporate a flower crown into a look? It’s really not so hard. Start with something with a bit smaller flowers, like this crown, and pair it with a casual dress or romper. Throw on some sandals and you’re good to go!
