As a graduate of the class of 2015, I am proud to say that I feel more accomplished than ever before. During my four years here I was fortunate enough to spend time abroad in Siena, Italy, study over three different languages, complete several internships, join a sorority and play in the school jazz band. With Geneseo being such a tight-knit community, it is easy to develop close relationships with both your professors and other students as well as surrounding the community. After traveling down many different paths, I was able to discover myself and who I wanted to be.
Although I have only been at CollegeFashionista for one semester, it’s been one of the best experiences of my college career. Through CollegeFashionista I was able to develop my journalism and photography skills, as well as learn more about the fashion industry. Furthermore I was able to network with several companies and professionals including Vera Bradley, TOMS, Arden Cho and Aya Kanai.
Currently, I don’t have any set career plans, but I am taking the summer to relax and enjoy my accomplishments by traveling. I will be headed to Canada, the Dominican Republic, Cozumel and various parts of the East Coast for some much-needed beach time. I hope to find a full-time job by the fall involving around advertising, social media, graphic design, photography, marketing, event management or public relations.
This four year long journey has been great, but I’m very excited to move onto the next stage in my life. It’s finally time to become a real professional.
