Chanel always has a flair for the dramatic, and the latest spring 2015 couture collection was no exception. The sculptural floral set was the perfect backdrop for a show bursting with femininity. Brightly colored skirt sets in bold shades and sweet pastels dotted the runway. Feminine details such as tulle, flowers and sequins adorned dresses and skirts. Karl Lagerfeld knows how to design swoon worthy styles. He basically designed clothes that every little girl would dream of wearing and that any grown woman would feel like a princess in. Fancy trimmings in tweed and floral made outfits over the top in the best way possible. Beautiful tulle flowers turned dresses into blooming bouquets. Models were dressed for the dreamiest possible garden party.
Seeing this collection inspired me to add more florals to my style. In a nod to the spring weather, I decided to don a floral dress with a hint of pastels. I wore a navy dress with a floral pink pattern. The pink rose pattern was small and subtle so I didn’t look over the top in florals. I paired the dress with a pink floral statement necklace to bring out the pink of the outfit. I threw on a distressed denim jacket and some brown riding boots to keep the outfit casual and chic.
Chanel never ceases to inspire me, and I plan on infusing more florals into my outfits this season.
