Hello fellow Fashionistas! The time has come again for me to post another STYLE GURU BIO! This is my second semester as a Style Guru at Illinois State University. I’m a Fashion Merchandising student who hopes to one day be a celebrity stylist.
My love for fashion and everything artsy has always appealed to me for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t always have the greatest taste when picking out my own wardrobe. I remember being younger and picking out clothes that just weren’t flattering. Granted, I was a pre-teen but still, I’m still ashamed of the clothes that are forever captured in photos, thanks to my parents.
These days, I love everything having to do with fashion, music, films and basically anything that involves creative expression. I have an unhealthy addiction to buying clothes and shoes (as I’m sure we all do) and I love spending my time people watching YouTube videos for hours on end.
My style definitely depends on the day. Some days I want to dress girly and cute, but the next it’ll be edgy and wearing all-black. Most days though, you’ll probably find me in all-black. Right now, I’m loving the whole bohemian trend even though I’m too broke of a college kid to go to any festivals. I also love the edgy rocker look and that’s what I look at for inspiration when buying new clothes. In this outfit, I decided to go for a more summery, girly look but kept it interesting with the asymmetrical hem. Things that are just a little bit different like this dress are pieces that always catch my eye.
This semester, I hope to people watch like I’ve never people watched before and find some new, interesting individuals who have unique ways of dressing.
