Hey Fashionista/os! My name is Morgan Williams. I’m a sophomore at the University of South Carolina. I’m majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Public Relations/Advertising. This is my first internship with CollegeFashionista and I could not be more excited.
College has definitely played a role in allowing me to figure out who I am as a person and as a Fashionista. Growing up in a small town sometimes made it difficult to really step outside of the box and stray away from shorts and a cute tank top. I love being able to dress how I feel, dress for what I’m doing or trying a new trend. There are days I dress like the mainstreamers; running shorts, a baggy T-shirt and high-top Converse. There are also days where I like to put outfits together and show off my style or what “personality” I’m trying to channel: hipster, preppy girl, athlete or typical college student. That is the beauty of fashion. You can be whomever you want.
My photos in this article are a perfect example of my love for boho style. My romper is great for summer, but it will actually be able to double as a transition piece for the fall. It’s light and flowy, but the colors will allow me to wear it until at least September especially since it will basically still be summer down here. I paired it with a pair of brown sandals to go along with the boho feel. I’m a huge advocate for accessorizing, as well. I wore bangles on one wrist and a gold cuff on the other. I’m also a ring fanatic! I always have tons of rings on. Midi rings are one of the greatest accessories to ever be created. Of course strolling through Columbia and hanging out on the Horseshoe calls for a pair of sunglasses. I love the pair I’m wearing in these pictures. They’re so fun and I feel like I’m channeling my inner celebrity. When do they not have sunglasses on in public?
