Ciao Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Mayanna Jee, and I am a Fashion Management student attending George Brown College that is located in uptown Toronto, Ontario. There I have studied marketing, advertising, illustrating, sewing, buying, accounting and many other aspects of the fashion industry.
I was born and raised in Ottawa where I explored my love for fashion, design, dance and music. The arts are something I keep very close to my heart.
I discovered my love for fashion at a very young age. Dress up was always my game of choice, and I started to design clothing by the age of six. I was fortunate to have an aunt very close to me that was an amazing seamstress who taught me all I know about sewing. By the time I finished high school I participated in multiple fashion shows as a designer, model and backstage manager.
My personal style cannot be described. I like to call myself a “fashion chameleon.” What I wear is greatly influenced by my mood, what I’m doing and where I’m going. I love to play around with all different styles such as boho, vintage, grunge and many more. However, my typical day-to-day attire would probably be best described as classic while adding my favorite statement pieces.
As displayed in my photos, you can never go wrong with a classic leather jacket. I paired my Lucky Brand jacket with a basic white tank top and trousers from Topshop. To spice up my outfit I added a bold statement necklace from H&M, metallic sandals from Sam Edelman and a bright pink clutch from Coach.
I am very excited to be starting my journey as a Style Guru! I can’t wait to share my love for fashion with all of you.
