Hi, readers! I’m more than excited to be able to put out my first post as a Style Guru. I’ve known about my obsession with fashion for a while and grasped my first opportunity to fulfill my passion as soon as I heard about the guru position. This fall I’ll be heading off to Kent State University to pursue a degree in Fashion Merchandising; so I thought what better way to start off my many years ahead in the fashion world than at CollegeFashionista.
In my first post, I thought I would try to incorporate everything my style has come to be over the years. From Disney Princess pajamas to gauchos and denim skirts, now boyfriend jeans and plaid shirts; I’d say not only has fashion, but I myself have come a long way. You can never go wrong with a pair of ripped jeans, a casual shirt and any sort of arm candy to make an outfit pop. My favorite is my gold Bourbon and Boweties bangle paired with my lokai bracelet seen here! One of my favorite, most recent accessory is my floppy hat. Easily paired with anything, and a cure for a bad hair day, my black topper is a necessity for this laid back look. Going down to my shoes, booties have taken over the shoe industry and I could only help by giving in and purchasing a pretty pair of black and gold zip-ups from Aldo.
From laying around the house on a rainy day reading Vogue, to heading out at night with some off my best girlfriends, I love to wear anything I feel most comfortable in. What I adore most about fashion is its ever so changing ways of letting one express themselves no matter their size, gender, personality, ethnicity, etc.
Now that my fellow Fashionistas/os have learned a little about me, I can’t wait to snap pictures of all of you! I am beyond grateful for the opportunities being given to me all thanks to CollegeFashionista. With trends and fads of the fashion industry evolving every day, it’s exciting to know that I get the chance to bring them to CollegeFashionista each week.
