Hi there! I am Lily Lee, a Shanghainese-American girl who will be a fourth year at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. I am majoring in Communications, specializing in Public Relations and double minoring in Digital Communication, Information & Media and English. My main life influences are God, C.S. Lewis’s works and my wonderful family and friends. I have a passion for reading, writing and teaching. As an avid coffee drinker, I love the aroma of freshly ground beans and the way it makes any place smell like home. Now that the sun is brighter and grass is greener, I find myself frequently wearing a flowery dress or skirt, taking walks outside and enjoying the lovely scenery. My favorite way to relax is sitting by a pond, reading a great book and listening to the water flowing. I get my inspiration from the beauty of my surroundings; this is reflected in my sense of fashion.
My style is fairly feminine and playful like my personality. Heels give an extra oomph to my height which I love. I also tend to gravitate towards clothing with light and bright colors that give off an optimistic vibe. I believe that beauty radiates from the inside out. If I am genuinely happy and grateful in life, I can best flaunt my look.
Do you like my necklace and earrings? They are from Costco and I have always been a loyal fan of their jewelry. The white top that I am wearing in this outfit is from Armani Exchange and I absolutely adore the crisscrossed design in the front. This black ruffled cami is also a really cute alternative and has a nice back design. I have one that is very similar, and I love to pair it with patterned bottoms such as these painterly striped shorts. My go-to makeup style is a winged cat-eye look using Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner, along with a sparkly mix of Urban Decay’s pink, purple and turquoise eyeshadows from an older palette. For a finishing touch to my look, I can never forget to curl my eyelashes without using Shiseido’s iconic eyelash curler, followed up with Tarte’s eyelash primer and mascara. Voilà! And if it’s sunny out? I’ll throw on my Coach sunglasses.
