Hello my fellow fashion enthusiasts! My name is Brittany Maisano and this is my first semester as a Style Guru. Currently, I am a student-athlete at Kent State University. In the fall I will be going into my junior year as Fashion Merchandising major with a minor in Fashion Media.
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and many say I was destined to be an Ohio State Buckeye. Fortunately my path directed me towards Northern Ohio to the populated Black Squirrel regime of Kent, Ohio. If you asked me 10 years ago if I would be striving for a career in fashion, I would have probably said no. Picking the Kent State Fashion School has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I have learned so much and have met many amazing people along the way.
Finding the right outfit to wear can be quite challenging for any Fashionista or Fashionisto, but do not worry because I am here to help! Being an avid workout junky I do not always have time to pick and purge through my closet. For my normal attire I tend to gravitate towards shorts and a T-shirt, but every so often I go out of my comfort zone and get dolled up.
While dressing up can be a reach, I have learned the tips and tricks to making any outfit look cute while maintaining a comfortable nature. With the warm weather in mind I have become more inclined to choose simple dresses that I can accessorize.
Before my last semester at Kent I hope to have the opportunity to study in New York City. I would love to experience the city life and taking what I learn in the classroom to real life scenarios.
