Hey there, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Sierra-Kate and I am studying Fashion Merchandising at Kent State University in Ohio, however, I will be residing in my home town approximately 30 minutes from the campus this summer. This is my first time being a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and I could not be more ecstatic! I have little experience in the fashion industry, but I cannot wait to get started with CollegeFashionista and begin to experience all that this fascinating industry has to offer me!
I have always had a love for fashion, but it has really flourished throughout the last few years. I wouldn’t say that I have necessarily narrowed down my personal style, I prefer to dress in many different ways and add a little bit of a personal twist to each outfit. Stripes are my go to and my forever friend. I am vintage obsessed and love all things used. The beach is my happy place, but thrift stores and flea markets are a close second. Being from a small town surrounded with cornfields, I’ve found difficulty in translating the latest trends from New York City into something that those around me can understand and appreciate. The ability to create a look using the balance of basic and simple pieces and an item that embodies the latest trend has almost become a sixth sense.
