Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Middleton. I am a Junior at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I major in General Fine Arts though my career has focused primarily on Fashion Design. I will be a senior next semester and I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a Style Guru!
I was born and raised in Baltimore, I and have always enjoyed thrifting. My mom used to take me to yard sales as a child and I loved finding unique, vintage items. This has translated into my style as an adult.
I love traveling and have been to many countries in Europe. My favorite was Paris, and I will be moving there next year to study and work in the fashion industry!
Other than that, I am a visual artist. My art is my life. I do a lot of performance work in Baltimore. I have also worked with community arts programs that partner with soup kitchens, homes for underprivileged youth, and foundations dedicated to local grass roots programs. I am currently helping the MICA swap shop in getting donations to local charities. Charity work is one of my passions. I am also an avid Instagram user. I would love if you followed me; @sarcats_meow !
My favorite items in my closet are my Free People Boots, Anthropologie silk tops and anything cropped.
I speak both English and French. I have a dog and a kitten. I designed a line for the MICA benefit fashion show. I worked with the designer Lee Andersen last summer as a fashion intern and graphic designer.
In this bio I am wearing an American apparel Skater Dress, Dr. Marten Boots, and a Forever 21 necklace. The sunglasses are Urban Outfitters.
I hope this helps you learn more about me. I will be sharing some of my looks, as well as scouting Fashionistas/Fashionistos on campus here at MICA.
