Summer in Texas is honestly like no other. Depending on where you are depends on how bad you’ll experience the heat and right now, the season is being surprisingly gentle on us. That gives us a reason to play around with long sleeves and denim a bit longer than usual.
I was out on a Sunday when this nice Fashionisto caught my eye. He was on a date with his gorgeous girlfriend when I decided to stop him due to the print of his shirt. They had been around shopping and planned on doing dinner later, giving him a reason to dress up a bit.
He dressed up for the occasion perfectly by putting on a button-down shirt with a nice allover print. Although they began their day outside with shopping, a button-down is the perfect shirt to take him from day to night as they go enjoy dinner that evening. He paired the look with white denim pants, which complemented the print. His appearance was completed with every college kid’s favorite boat shoes, Sperry Top-Siders.
With the first button being undone and the cuff in his sleeves, he easily adopted the look of a nice young man. His straight leg pants contributed to the style, giving him the appearance of someone doing more than hanging out.
One Simple Change: Had the couple planned a day where dinner wasn’t the focus, this Fashionisto could have switched his pants out for shorts. A pair of shorts would have given him a more casual look, while still remaining polished with the button-down. The look could be the perfect for a young man, looking to show some style while still remaining casual and cool, creating the perfect weekend wear.
