It is funny how the future holds so many things that remind us of the past. I took a flashback down memory lane this week with this post. The catchphrase “bows before bros” was a common phrase used at my middle school way back when. While the definition of the phrase is unimportant, it did help me simulate the title for this post.
For this week’s post I was in search of a Fashionista or Fashionisto whose outfit was daring and whose accessories were bold. After stumbling into this Fashionisto, I knew right away that he would be the perfect candidate to write an article on. He literally emulates the phrase “bows before bros.” His bow tie claims center stage around his neck while his garment color palette remains bold with pastels.
Creating this outfit is quite simple. First, this Fashionisto started with a button-down shirt. On top of that he added a cardigan and attached his bow tie. Next, he put on pastel shorts to add a pop of color to his outfit and to cool him off on a hot, summer day. His belt holds his shorts into place and his printed canvas sneakers give his outfit a laid back vibe. To finish off this look, he added a pair of aviators, a watch and a smile.
How To: Step out of your comfort zone and add accessories that stand out. My rule of thumb is to pair solid colors with printed accessories. Find a button down shirt either in your closet or your dads and pair it with some pastel shorts. After that, just accessorize and you are good to go!
