I honestly love everything that is going on in this Fashionista’s outfit. However, the two details that stood out to me were the silk scarf tied delicately around her Coach purse and her green velour skirt. The combination of silk and velour is very unique, especially with such vibrant colors. I was told the scarf was received as a gift after purchasing the Rosabotanica perfume from Sephora. The skirt is from Nordstrom Rack and is easy to slip on.
Summer is one of my favorite seasons because all you need to do is throw on a cute skirt and a breezy shirt. Often times, I don’t want to worry about what I’ll be accessorizing my liberated look with. That is why I love the scarf idea. It is such a quick and simple accessory to add. It goes extremely well with the black and white purse. When looking at the outfit all together, the clash of the checkered pattern and the jungle print scarf seems so small. But looking at them closely, you can see that they match very well together and create a bold look! The skirt adds to the same kind of relaxed vibe. I also love the pop of neon orange on her toenails. If this look didn’t have enough bold colors, she turns the edge up yet another notch! The summer is all about taking risks with spunky colors but in small portions.
How To: We all have to carry around a purse or bag of some sort, so why not sling a colorful scarf around it and make it a statement piece? Although this particular scarf was found at Sephora, I know there are a bunch of bright and colorful ones you can find at Forever 21 and H&M.
