STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Keepin' it Cool

It’s finally summer time and here in Florida temperatures can get sweltering hot. As a college student, walking around campus can make you work up a sweat no matter how short the distance is.

If you’re taking summer classes, of course you’ll want to look stylish on your way to class (hoping you’ll meet your summer fling) without wearing fabrics or materials that make you look like you just ran a 5k.

This week’s Fashionista definitely knows how to dress to beat the heat! Her white high-waisted shorts make the heat more manageable. Can you imagine walking around campus in jeans? Yeah, neither can I. And if you don’t have time to hang out by the pool this summer, wearing shorts will definitely give you that glowing tan you’ve always wanted. So win-win. No more heat and luminous tan legs!

Her thin tie-dye blouse is also great for when you are outside. This purple/black blouse adds an edge and her Steve Madden beaded sandals complete the outfit.

I know that high temperatures can sometimes just make you want to throw on shorts and a T-shirt, but don’t let the weather stop you from expressing yourself. There are always “light” options for you to wear. Linen, rayon and cotton are all fabrics that will help you stay cool this summer!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always dress for yourself. Fashion is a way to express yourself and how you feel. Always put on an outfit that makes you feel great!”
