I never thought I would be the typical broke college kid until I went to college and, very quickly, became broke. There is no way around it. Costs add up and before you know it, you have $2.59 left in your bank account.
However, this weeks Fashionista taught me a valuable lesson on how to scrape up a few extra bucks in order to afford Sunday brunch with the girls: Goodwill.
Yep! You heard me. This weeks Fashionista got her cute and comfy olive colored pants from her neighborhood Goodwill for around four dollars. Goodwill and other used clothing stores are becoming somewhat of a trend lately because of the “hipster” and “vintage” looks, but it also can be a life saver when it comes to saving a ton on super cute clothes!
Our Fashionista’s outfit is pretty simple. A white tank top, olive pants and brown sandals.  That is it!  But somehow everything collides so well. The detail on the tank top adds a little something extra to the outfit (and removes the need for a necklace). The sandals also add an interesting bit to the outfit because of the simple, yet eye-catching straps.
She topped the outfit off with a cute ring, watch, and a few earrings. Nothing too dramatic, but just enough to complete the outfit.
One Simple Change: This outfit is super simple and can be transformed for a bunch of different occasions. Adding wedges instead of the sandals could take it from a day time outfit, to a date-night outfit. Our Fashionista could also add a jacket or put her hair up to dress the outfit up just a bit more and make it perfect for dinner, instead of brunch.
