Hi there, Fashionistas! My name is Victoria Tesone and in the fall I will be a sophomore at Lafayette College where I am pursuing a double major in Government and Law and Creative Writing. This summer I will be writing to you from some of my favorite vacation spots, sharing some of my favorite summer styles, must-haves and more.
My personal style is simply classic, updated with contemporary accessories. My favorite fashion staple is a LBD and it belongs in every wardrobe. This summer, I’m putting a spin on my classic LBDs and wearing my favorite year round color in different styles. In this case, the perfect “little black romper.”
Today I’m wearing an Urban Outfitters romper with a strapless, notched sweetheart neckline and slash, pouch pockets. The neckline and pockets, paired with a synched waist give the romper a more feminine, body hugging shape. Show off your curves!
I also donned a pair of black Stewart Weitzman “Alex” espadrilles. These are my go-to pair of relaxed but elegant wedges. Nothing beats comfort and style. This shoe is versatile and will go with almost any outfit, which makes them my favorite fashion staple. Michael Kors’ “Juniper” and Steve Madden’s “Fantastik” are perfect alternatives. As for the clutch and jewelry, any simple solid colored clutch will work for this outfit as well as simple bangles and a statement ring.
For my beauty look, I like to keep my makeup simple and natural. Less is more! It’s summer, so let your skin breathe! Ditch the foundation or go with lighter formulations if you need a little coverage. I like to use a light coral base blush, soft brown eyeliner, and Virgin from my Naked palette directly under the eyebrow arch.
My style is classic with a few trendy accents. Never be afraid to try new trends or to add bold statement pieces to simple outfits. I am always searching for new trends and experimenting with my look. Don’t be afraid to be different, take the looks of the season and add your own personal twist. Let you shine through!
