Hey, Fashionistas! I’m Loren Childs, but my friends call me Lo for short. I am a Journalism major at Georgia State University. Every since I can remember, I’ve always loved fashion. If I wasn’t playing in my mother’s high heels, I was playing dress up with my friends.
All through high school, I read Teen Vogue, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and one of my favorite blogger’s, Charlie Brianna. After seeing the vibrant June Ambrose in celebrating life and doing it in style, I was sold. I soon fell in love with the idea of becoming the next Editor-in-chief of Vogue, so I temporally traded my sneakers for a pair of high heel pumps.
I joined my school’s newspaper and put all my focus into writing for Lifestyles section. To stay creative, one of my hobbies was DIY projects. I would make all kinds of jewelry, but my specialty was earrings. I drew inspirations from anything and everything around me playing with different patterns and prints.
Recently at Georgia State, I sat on the Executive Board as Creative Director of fashion organization Infinite Appeal. The experience was incredible, I learned how to create LookBooks and coordinated an entire Fashion show. Expressing my style in few words is slightly difficult because my style inspiration comes from many different things.
I like to mix casual with urban wear and neutrals with bold colors. Also, I do enjoy wearing high heels but sneakers can make a bold statement! Creative Director of Vogue, Grace Coddington said, “Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching, because whatever you can see can inspire you.” I’m excited to see what the summer has in store for me, and I’m excited to share my journey with you!
