I am a big fan of skirts and dresses so when I find a pair of pants that has those breezy qualities, it’s almost a no brainer. When I saw these palazzo pants I was instantly reminded of the carefree Michael Kors spring 2014 line and the never ending inspiration from the 1970s. These pants are effortless and can be perfect for your summer internship or a night out on the town.
To make these pants office appropriate, I chose to pair them with a boxy cropped tee and a jean jacket. The statement piece here is the pants so I wanted to keep everything else neutral to keep the focus there. Keeping accessories simple is another key to this look and that’s why I just threw on some gold rings before walking out the door. To take this look from the office to a night out, simply take the jacket off, change the sneakers for sandals or heels, and add a motorcycle jacket. This way the transition can be effortless as these pants are easy to translate from day to night.
These palazzo pants have been popping up all over the runways and in store windows for the past year and are easy to transition into different seasons. Throw on a chunky sweater in the fall and winter months with some booties and when spring rolls around trade the sweater for a blouse and big belt Kors did in his collection. You can even match your top to the pants for a DIY jumpsuit, but if you have a pattern, make sure they match up! This way you are getting a lot of bang for your buck.
