Rain, rain go away! I absolutely hate that I have to use cold weather as my occasion for this week but it hasn’t gone above 60 degrees in days. For me, this calls for sweatpants, a hoodie and tea in my bed. But the cold and dreary weather didn’t stop this Fashionista from getting her summer off to a good start.
Despite the pouring rain, this Fashionista was outside and stylin’. We start off the outfit with a cute but comfortable staple Forever 21 tank (I know we all have about half a dozen of these) and Urban Renewal vintage shorts. Personally, I had never heard of the shorts brand before but now I am obsessed. It is a hand-picked vintage collection by Urban Outfitters, consisting of re-worked cutoff shorts, military jackets and dresses! In light of the weather, this Fashionista added a gorgeous utility jacket that looks both effective and adorable, and it goes hand-in-hand with the vintage vibe given off by the shorts. Her sturdy Dr. Martens complement the concept of the jacket, giving her look an overall grunge vibe. She accessorized with an affordable Topshop choker to complete her rainy day look.
This outfit shows that no matter what the weather, you can get up, dress up and show up! Don’t ever let a little cold weather bring down your summer vibes.
One Simple Change: If the weather is consistent with the summer season, switch the utility jacket for a cardigan or perhaps a vest.
