STYLE GURU STYLE: Don't Let The Rain Weigh You Down

As many know, the Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1st, which means it is officially wellington weather. Personally I love the rainy weather because it gives me the opportunity to bring out my beautifully bright green Hunter wellington boots. These past few weeks have been consumed by scattered thunderstorms; I thought I would share my love for wellington boots while also incorporating a runway trend off the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show.

I have always been fond of Chloé; my must-have scent for the summer is Chloé eau de parfum. The fresh fragrance offers an effect that is comfortable and chic, much like my chosen runway look. The inspiration behind my choice of the lightweight camisole babydoll dress stems from looks one and four from the show. The Chloé model is sporting a lightweight georgette garment offering amazing shape while hanging off thin spaghetti straps, much like a camisole babydoll dress.

I translated the runway trend into my look by using an olive green cami babydoll dress as my base. I made use of some wardrobe staples and paired such a simple and versatile dress with a lightweight khaki and black jacket, green wellingtons and a statement necklace. Due to the recent weather conditions in Florida, I opted for Hunter wellingtons to brace the copious puddles. To accessorize this particular outfit, I leaned towards gold tones as my choice of jewelry. The gold statement necklace from Urban Outfitters almost looks vintage and tarnished and adds edge to the look. The versatile summer camisole babydoll dress offers a crinkly and flowy fabric while accentuating a girly silhouette, which is similar to the vision behind the Chloé collection.

Get My Look: 1. Hunter wellingtons. 2. Camisole babydoll dress. 3. Statement necklace.
