The weather here in New Jersey and New York has it feeling like winter all over again. It’s cold, cloudy and worst of all, rainy. When it rains, not only are people’s moods affected by the weather, but so are their outfits. When it’s raining, it can be difficult to want to dress up or look nice, because let’s face it—all we want to do is stay inside. It has been weird seeing people all covered up again, but it’s also been great to see the awesome outerwear people have. A staple outerwear piece that every Fashionista and Fashionisto should have in their closet is a leather jacket. No matter the color, a leather jacket is great for dressing up or even dressing down an outfit. A black leather jacket can go a long way and is good for staying warm.
Another awesome way to rock leather is with a pair of boots. I personally cannot get enough of seeing people rock their Dr. Martens. There are many different styles, a huge variety of colors and they’re classic. Whenever the weather is cold or rainy, my black Dr. Martens are my go-to. Since there are so many colors and styles, Dr. Martens can be incorporated into an outfit many different ways. As we see in this Fashionista’s look, leather gives just the right amount of edge to any outfit.
If you’re someone that doesn’t like to wear a lot of black, you can always incorporate some color. Putting on a different color T-shirt or even having a cute umbrella will give your outfit a nice pop.
