Traveling to Australia at this time of year, I flip-flopped seasons and practically rewound (or fast-fowarded?) from spring/summer to the winter season. Therefore, I had to alter my current wardrobe to accommodate to the cooler weather they were experiencing down under. In doing this, I looked to the pre-fall 2015 runway shows and trends for some inspo. One that caught my eye in particular was the Jacquemus pre-fall 2015 runway show.
The Jacquemus pre-fall 2015 collection can be summed up as a ‘60s vibe combined with the concept of a back-to-school uniform. Effortless, asymmetrically proportional and simple hues are three aspects that make up this collection. I incorporated these notions into my own mode by going with an asymmetric and oversized gray wool jacket, which was repeated multiple times in Jacquemus’s runway show. My white high-top lace-ups and skinny jeans add on to the effortless style, while the sunnies give it a ‘60s feel.
Although I incorporated many features from the Jacquemus pre-fall 2015 collection, I also included some of my own personal style. Jacquemus’s collection was composed of monochrome ensembles of white, black and grays, and lacked any hint of a pattern. However, I wanted to give my look more of a pop, so I added on a bright blue Rebecca Minkoff satchel and a blue and white striped button-up. Despite the fact that these two pieces aren’t the boldest of items, they still add a little character to the look, and rear away from Jacquemus’s collection.
Get My Look: 1. Gray wool coat, 2. Striped button-up. 3. White high-top lace-up sneakers.
