You may recognize them from your childhood years as the shoes that would turn a dark shade of brown when your feet got sweaty, or you may recognize them from your Instagram feed since almost everyone has a pair. The most well-known footbed sandals are Birkenstocks, which showcase the footbed as part of the design of the shoe.
If you aren’t willing to drop over 90 dollars for the new sandal trend then there are many off-price stores like Walmart and Target that make lookalikes. These stores don’t offer as much variety, but they definitely give you your money’s worth.
Maybe you already have footbed sandals because you’re one step ahead of the game and want to style them without looking too casual. Try wearing them with a flowy tunic and a pair of skinny jeans or denim cutoffs and a graphic T-shirt. Add a summery shade of lipstick and some oversized sunnies for a touch of sophistication to upgrade the look.
