Dressing for different occasions can be a challenging thing to do. For me, dressing for brunch can be really hard. I want to be stylish but comfortable because it is still fairly early in the morning. It might be hours before I return home after brunch, so I want an outfit that works well for whatever I might do. When I spotted this Fashionista, I thought she managed to create a perfect outfit for heading to brunch.
This Fashionista wore a maxi dress that was full of color and a fun print. Not only was it perfect for summer, it seemed very appropriate for brunch. The material makes it very comfortable and it is casual enough for whatever the rest of the day might hold, but is a little bit dressy too. I loved the kimono top she layered over the dress; the two different prints complemented each other very well and added an extra flair to the outfit. You were really able to tell her personality through her clothing, which is awesome. She managed to create a look perfect for brunch, however, this type of outfit would work great for several different occasions for the season.
With printed clothing, accessories should blend it and enhance rather than stand out, and this Fashionista knew that. Her neutral wedges matched the colors in her dress perfectly. The feather necklace was a fun addition. It matched the style and colors so it blended in very well. She wore a simple pair of stud earrings and a great pair of sunglasses, which are truly a necessity during these next few months.
This Fashionista created an outfit exactly like I want for heading to brunch and showcased her personality. Before you head out to brunch this coming weekend, step outside the box of what you normally wear. Try out a fun dress and kimono like this girl did and you’ll be set. Just don’t forget to Instagram your outfit as well as your food!
One Simple Change:Â You can easily make this look work for a concert. Just swap out the maxi dress for a skater skirt and crop top. You won’t have to worry about that long dress getting caught on anything and you’ll look just as cute!
