Do you ever get to the end of a week, go to do laundry and wonder how one person could possibly create so much in one week? I know I am constantly asking myself this and the honest answer is I change my outfits too many times in a day. I wake up in the morning and throw on some yoga clothes and either go to a class, hit the gym or go for a run. Then I come home and change into an outfit for running errands or going to work. Then, if I have plans, I will put on another new outfit for whatever I am doing at night. That is already three outfits in one day and I still have one left when I throw on my comfy Patagonia pullover with Victoria’s Secret pajama bottoms and head to bed. Four outfits is way too many for one girl to wear in a day and the best way to remedy is to incorporate day to night outfits in your wardrobe.
This Fashionista’s dress caught my eye because it is a perfect example of a day to night look. You can throw on a loose dress with some strappy sandals and run around town all day. Then, when it gets dark, switch the sandals out for a pair of wedges and you are good to go. You can also add some sparkly jewelry to add some spice to your look.
I really love the way this Fashionista styled herself. Boho is one of the main trends this season and this dress is the perfect little boho garment. It’s loose silhouette and ’70s color scheme and pattern have a very carefree elegance about them. The wedges she wore tied in the lighter peach in the dress and also were very appropriate for the summer. She also added the perfect amount of jewelry to add a bit of sparkle, but not take away from the pattern of the dress.
One Simple Change: If you wanted to take a more conservative style with this dress for church or a brunch, you could swap the wedges out for ballet flats and add a nice, fitted leather jacket to cover your shoulders.
