One of my favorite things about summer are the beautiful flowers that are in bloom during June and July. The colors and textures are just so beautiful and exuberant. It’s even better to be able to wear those summer colors and patterns that make summertime style bright and fun. This week, I have a Fashionista who had the perfect summer outfit!
It is simple and classy, yet young and fresh. I loved how the top was so colorful and the fit was loose and comfortable. It gave that easy summer vibe while still being fashion-forward. The colors in her shirt really popped in the floral print and the colors were lighter yet still remained the center detail of the outfit.
She paired the floral top with a simple pair of white jeans and basic accessories. White capris are a good summer staple to have because they match just about everything in your closet and are very cute and comfortable. The accessories she chose were a simple necklace, watch and bracelet that all accented each other. The necklace perfectly matched the neckline of the tank top, which is key when it comes to statement necklaces. Watches and bangles are also perfect accessories because they can be worn every day and can be a part of your “signature look.” With all of the colors in the top, the simple accessories are perfect and keep the focus on the pattern.
How To: When working with pastels in the summertime, keep the outfit light and simple so it doesn’t look too overdone. Take a dress, top or even a skirt with beautiful summer colors in it and pair them with simple accessories that bring out the colors and give the outfit that little touch that it needs. Pastels are the perfect way to feel feminine and pretty in the summertime!
