I’m always looking for new places to eat in Tuscaloosa. This college town has so much to offer when it comes to food. In the morning, you can wake up with hot tea and pastries at a local German cafe and end the day with a nice Thai dinner on “the Strip.” Tonight was date night, as well as the perfect opportunity to wear this particular scarf I had recently purchased.
Inspired by the Diane von Furstenberg pre-fall 2015 collection, I wore this leopard print scarf and kept the rest of the look more casual and simple. Diane von Furstenberg’s collection combines vivid colors with various animal prints, and this scarf is a combination of those two things with an ombré effect from the leopard print to this lovely royal blue. With such a monochromatic outfit, I thought it would be nice to be trendy for tonight and put on a loud print to balance everything out and make the outfit unique. I’m usually scared of wearing animal prints, but these beautiful (and rainy) summer nights have compelled me to step outside my box, at least for one night!
These Levi Brand Jeans definitely added to the iconic Diane von Furstenberg urban-hippy look. It’s rather hard for me to find jeans that fit my petite stature and look cute, but these jeans did the job! I accessorized this look with a black and gold statement necklace that I got from Wal-Mart.
I paired this whole look with a pair of kitten heels and my usual black purse. As far as makeup goes, I used a pink blush and swiped on my Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain to finish off the entire look. Overall, I really enjoyed sprucing up my classic black shirt and jeans with such a daring print. And I enjoyed the food just as much!
